About us Bishop Sheen Ecumenical Housing Foundation, Inc. (Sheen Housing) is a non-profit organization in Fairport, NY and Bloomfield, NY. We are professional, agile and fast-paced. Seeking an experienced bookkeeper to perform all primary accounting functions for a non-profit housing agency.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage payroll and ensure accurate and timely payment to employees.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.
  • Process accounts payable, including reviewing and verifying invoices for payment.
  • Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records.
  • Process invoices to various government agencies and complete reporting requirements tot hose agencies.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper and Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Accounting or related field preferred
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with government accounting regulations is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Salary:
$28.00
  • $32.00 per hour Expected hours: 16-24 per week, Monday through Thursday Benefits (if work 24 hours/wk):
