Accounts Payable (AP)
Specialist Location:
Hawthorne, NY Schedule:
Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM Our client, a well-established nonprofit organization in Westchester County, is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to provide temporary support to their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on accounting experience in a collaborative, mission-driven environment. Responsibilities Process high-volume, paper-based accounts payable transactions Review invoices for accuracy and proper coding Match invoices with supporting documentation Enter AP data into the accounting system Maintain organized vendor files and AP records Assist with resolving invoice discrepancies Support the finance team with additional administrative and accounting tasks as needed Qualifications Previous Accounts Payable or general accounting experience preferred Recent Accounting graduates are encouraged to apply Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Comfortable working in a manual, paper-based environment Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced setting Strong communication skills and willingness to accept constructive feedback Experience working in a nonprofit organization is a plus What We Offer Immediate opportunity with a respected nonprofit organization Hands-on experience supporting an experienced finance team Meaningful work in an organization dedicated to serving the community Great opportunity for recent graduates or accounting professionals looking for their next assignment EB-7779697995
