Accounts Receivable Specialist

A growing food manufacturing company located on Long Island is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their team. This is a direct hire opportunity for a motivated professional who can work independently while supporting the accounting department in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Monitor accounts receivable and identify overdue accounts Collect on past due invoices and follow up on outstanding balances Contact customers regarding overdue payments and resolve payment issues Maintain positive customer relationships while ensuring timely collections Investigate and resolve short payments and discrepancies Process credit card charges and payment applications Prepare bank deposits Issue credits when approved Update account records with collection activity and payment status Handle customer inquiries in a professional manner Provide timely reporting on collection activity and AR status

Qualifications:

2-3 years of Accounts Receivable or Collections experience required Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent problem-solving and negotiation abilities Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Pay:

$66,000.00 - $67,000.00 per hour
