In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, and supporting the overall accounting functions of our organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of accounting systems and software, including QuickBooks, and excel or google sheet. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to both corporate and non-profit accounting environments while ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and accounting standards. Your expertise will help us streamline financial processes, prepare reports, and support budgeting efforts to drive organizational success. Key Responsibilities Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Process vendor and subcontractor invoices Verify purchase orders, delivery tickets, W-9s, COIs, and payment documentation Prepare customer invoices, progress billings, and change order billing Track AR/AP aging and follow up on outstanding payments Maintain job costing, budgets, cost codes, and project expenses Track labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and project costs Process weekly/biweekly payroll and review employee timesheets Support prevailing wage and certified payroll reporting Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial accounts Assist with monthly P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting Monitor project profitability, budgets, and cost variances Prepare weekly cash flow reports and assist with forecasting Maintain subcontractor contracts, insurance, licenses, and compliance documents Assist with year-end 1099s, tax preparation, and CPA requests Maintain organized accounting and project records Work with Project Managers and management to ensure accurate job costing and billing Improve accounting processes and maintain accurate records in QuickBooks, google sheets and/or excel sheets Qualifications 3+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience Construction accounting experience preferred Experience with AP, AR, payroll, reconciliations, and financial reporting Strong Excel and accounting software skills Experience with job costing preferred Knowledge of prevailing wage/certified payroll is a plus Strong attention to detail and organization Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
