Full-Time About Us We are an established Third-Party Benefits Administrator (TPA) providing administrative services to multiemployer benefit funds and self-insured employee benefit plans. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual with a strong bookkeeping background to join our accounting team. Position Summary The Senior Bookkeeper / Cash Receipts & Reconciliation Specialist will be responsible for accurately processing participant premium payments, reconciling daily deposits, maintaining financial records, and ensuring all receipts are properly recorded in both our administration system and QuickBooks. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies. Primary Responsibilities Process and post participant premium payments, including COBRA, retiree, and self-pay premiums. Reconcile daily cash receipts and bank deposits to participant payment records. Record and reconcile financial transactions in QuickBooks. Perform monthly bank reconciliations and assist with month-end closing activities. Research and resolve payment discrepancies, unapplied cash, and returned payments. Prepare deposit reports and maintain accurate accounting records. Coordinate with Member Services and Eligibility Departments regarding participant payment issues. Assist with financial reporting and audit support as needed. Maintain strict confidentiality of participant and financial information. Qualifications Minimum of 3-5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience. Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel. Experience performing bank reconciliations and balancing cash receipts. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Experience in employee benefits, insurance, healthcare administration, or a Third-Party Administrator is preferred but not required. What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience. $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
