Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the general supervision of the Finance Director, the Finance Associate - Contracts (FA) is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate vouchering of contracted programs. The FA maintains a comprehensive contract inventory, records funding awards, and ensures a thorough understanding of each contract's purpose, deliverables, and financial requirements. This position requires a high level of ethical integrity and confidentiality to ensure that all agency funds are managed and utilized in accordance with contract specifications and regulatory standards. The FA serves as a member of the Finance team, upholding strong ethical standards and promoting accountability and transparency across all financial operations.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION
(Not the Individuals Qualifications) 1. Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline; OR HS Diploma/GED and five (5) years of experience in bookkeeping. Non-profit experience is required. 2. Demonstrated experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and/or financial reports. Cost accounting experience preferred. 3. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently with accuracy, professionalism, and attention to detail. 4. Proficiency in computerized accounting systems (QuickBooks, Fund EZ) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel; ability to maintain manual accounting records as needed. 5. Strong understanding of and adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). 6. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills, with a commitment to collaboration and team success.
Pay:
$23.00 - $25.00 per hour
