Job Description
Accounting Specialist (Full Time) North Eastern Equipment Sales & Rentals, Inc, Olean, NY North Eastern Equipment Sales & Rentals is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Specialist to support the company's day-to-day financial operations. This position will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounts payable and receivable, assisting with reconciliations. The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, trustworthy, and comfortable working in a fast-paced equipment sales and rental environment. Key Responsibilities l Process and maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. l Prepare customer invoices and statements and follow up on outstanding balances. l Perform bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations. l Monitor rental, sales, and service-related transactions for proper accounting treatment. l Assist with payroll processing and related recordkeeping as needed. l Maintain organized accounting files and supporting documentation. l Research and resolve billing, payment, and account discrepancies. l Assist with sales tax and other routine financial reporting requirements. l Maintain confidentiality of financial and business information. l Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned. l Some daily travel to other branches may be required. Qualifications 2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred. Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and reconciliations. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team. Pay:
