Responsibilities:
Review incoming vendor invoices for accuracy and distribute them to the appropriate parties for approval, code approved invoices and enter them into the accounting system. Prepare and process vendor payment runs. Communicate with vendors to answer inquiries, research discrepancies, and resolve payment issues. Maintain vendor records, including W-9 forms and supporting documentation. Assist with annual Form 1099 preparation. Generate customer statements when requested. Perform bank reconciliation and research discrepancies. Post cash receipts and apply payments to customer accounts. Prepare and record monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes. Maintain accurate and organized electronic accounting records. Communicate effectively with employees, project managers, vendors, and management. Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned. Reports directly to Assistant Controller.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping, including accounts payable. A college degree in accounting or closely related field is preferred but not required. Experience processing vendor invoices, coding expenses, and preparing payment runs. Experience performing bank reconciliations. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team. Ability to manage multiple priorities at once and meet recurring deadlines Experience with accounts receivable and cash receipts is preferred Experience in an AEC, consulting, or other project-based industry id preferred Working knowledge of GAAP accounting. Ability to work with Microsoft Office Products. Experience with BST accounting software preferred but not required.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday 8 hour shift
Salary Range:
$55,000 - $70,000
