This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your bookkeeping expertise and financial software skills in a fast-paced environment. As a key contributor, you will assist with accurate financial record-keeping, account reconciliations, and data entry to ensure smooth operations and compliance with accounting standards. Your proactive approach and strong organizational skills will help us deliver exceptional service to our clients while gaining valuable experience in public accounting practices. Duties Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including data entry of transactions into accounting systems such as QuickBooks Online. Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records. Prepare journal entries, process payroll, and handle accounts payable and receivable functions efficiently. Reconcile general ledger accounts and assist with balance sheet reconciliations. Assist in double-entry bookkeeping processes, ensuring debits and credits are accurately recorded. Collaborate with the team on budgeting tasks and provide detailed account analysis as needed. Requirements Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, preferably within public accounting or non-profit organizations. Strong proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks (including QuickBooks Online). Demonstrated knowledge of accounting standards, GAAP guidelines, and financial concepts like journal entries, ledger management, and account reconciliation. Excellent skills in spreadsheets and financial report writing for accurate data analysis and presentation. Ability to perform bank reconciliations, account analysis, and balance sheet reconciliation with precision. Familiarity with double-entry bookkeeping principles and general ledger accounting practices. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak periods of tax season.
