Automotive Dealership Bookkeeper Karp Automotive - Rockville Centre, NY Karp Automotive is seeking an experienced Automotive Dealership Bookkeeper to join our accounting team in Rockville Centre. This is a great opportunity for someone who understands dealership accounting and is looking for a stable, long-term position with an established family-owned automotive dealership group. We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented accounting professional who can take ownership of their work, keep schedules clean and accurate, and work effectively with our Controller and the rest of the accounting office. What You'll Do Depending on experience and department needs, responsibilities may include: Post and cost vehicle deals Process and reconcile vehicle payoffs Reconcile accounting schedules and general ledger accounts Process accounts payable and accounts receivable Post cash receipts, checks, ACH and credit card transactions Reconcile bank and credit card accounts Process floorplan and vehicle inventory transactions Reconcile manufacturer receivables, incentives and statements Research and resolve accounting discrepancies Maintain accurate deal and accounting documentation Assist with month-end closing Work with sales, service, parts and management to resolve accounting items Assist the Controller and accounting department with additional dealership accounting responsibilities as needed
What We're Looking For Preferred:
Previous automotive dealership accounting or bookkeeping experience Experience posting vehicle deals and maintaining dealership accounting schedules Experience with a dealership management system (DMS)
Required:
Strong bookkeeping or accounting experience Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational and follow-through skills Comfortable working with multiple accounts and deadlines Dependable, professional and able to work well as part of a team Strong computer skills Why Join Karp Automotive?
