Job Description
Tuition Specialist / Finance Assistant La Salle Institute is an independent, Catholic, college-preparatory school, educating young men and women of the Capital Region in grades 5-12 since 1850. La Salle is looking for someone to join their finance office in a full or part-time capacity; candidates should be available to work a minimum of 25 hours/week but there is potential for a full-time opportunity, particularly seasonally in the spring and early summer. The successful candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented and organized. This person will be responsible for all elements of tuition billing, record keeping and collections, and will participate in determining and applying financial aid and scholarship awards. Duties also include posting deposits, preparing bank reconciliations and maintaining accounting ledgers. This person is the primary contact for La Salle families for all tuition-related topics and questions. The ideal candidate will have an associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience in a related field. The position requires strong interpersonal and organizational skills and proficiency in verbal and written communication.
