Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our accounting department. This position is Full Time in person (no hybrid - no remoting) Responsibilities Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting construction software. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently and accurately. Prepare and record journal entries, ensuring proper debits and credits in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations regularly to ensure data integrity. Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Conduct account analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, and account analysis to identify discrepancies or errors. Support budgeting activities by tracking expenses and preparing financial reports for management review. Be responsible for various office admin tasks as needed. Qualifications Proven experience as a Bookkeeper (construction a plus), with familiarity using accounting software. Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, including double entry bookkeeping and financial concepts such as debits & credits. Experience with Job Costing is a plus. Knowledge of GAAP standards. Ability to perform bank reconciliations, account reconciliation, and account analysis accurately. Ability to perform payroll on in house software (PEO experience a plus). Proficiency in microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams and prepare clear financial reports. HVAC Service background a plus Notary a plus
