Mastrovito Auto Group is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable Accounting Clerk to join our dealership accounting team. This position plays an important role in maintaining accurate vehicle inventory records, completing daily data entry, and supporting the overall financial operations of the dealership. The ideal candidate has a strong accounting background, enjoys a fast-paced environment, has excellent attention to detail, and can effectively work with multiple departments throughout the dealership.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Vehicle Inventory Maintain accurate records for new and used vehicle inventory. Enter and update vehicle information, including VINs, stock numbers, costs, invoices, and other inventory-related information. Assist with stocking in new and used vehicles and processing inventory changes. Verify vehicle information and supporting documentation for accuracy. Process and maintain records for dealer trades, wholesale vehicles, transfers, and intercompany trades. Assist with vehicle payoff and related accounting documentation as needed. Maintain organized electronic and physical inventory files. Accounting & Data EntryAccounting & Data Entry Perform accurate and timely daily accounting data entry. Post transactions to the appropriate accounts and schedules. Assist with account reconciliations and researching discrepancies. Assist with month-end closing procedures. Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation. Assist with deposits, journal entries, schedules, and other accounting functions as assigned. Scan, file, and electronically maintain accounting documentation. Ensure information entered into dealership accounting systems is complete and accurate. Dealership Support Work closely with all dealership team members to resolve accounting and inventory questions. Maintain confidentiality of financial, employee, customer, and dealership information. Provide administrative and accounting support to all dealership team members. Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates or Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is preferred. Previous accounting experience is required. Automotive dealership experience is a plus. Experience with CDK software is an advantage. Strong Microsoft Excel and computer skills is required. Excellent data entry accuracy and attention to detail. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
