Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our dynamic office team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise will support the organization's financial health and provide vital insights through precise financial data management. Duties Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities using accounting software such as QuickBooks, to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions. Perform bank reconciliations regularly to verify account balances and identify discrepancies promptly. Prepare and process journal entries, ensuring adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) standards. Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and collections. Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting to maintain the integrity of financial data. Assist with payroll processing, tax filings, and compliance documentation for non-profit or governmental accounting as needed. Generate detailed financial reports, including budgets, account analysis, and financial statement writing to support organizational decision-making. Support internal audits by providing accurate account reconciliation and documentation of financial activities. Experience with Xcel and Word documents. Qualifications Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, or similar platforms; familiarity with GAAP is essential. Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation. Knowledge of corporate accounting practices. Ability to perform bank reconciliations, account analysis, and account reconciliation efficiently. Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills; proficiency in 10 key typing is a plus. Basic tax experience. Demonstrated ability to interpret financial concepts and produce clear financial reports. Strong communication skills combined with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Join us in making a difference through meticulous financial management! Pay:
