ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE SPECIALIST 8

Monday-Friday Job Summary We're seeking a detail-driven Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our accounting team. In this role, you'll apply cash and credit card payments, partner with Credit and Collections to resolve discrepancies, and support the sales team as needed. Working closely with the Accounting Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring accurate, timely account management. Duties/Responsibilities Process customer payments, including cash, checks, credit card transactions, and electronic payments, and apply them to the appropriate accounts. Manually process credit card payments as necessary. Investigate customer payment issues including short payments, NSF's and credit card charge backs. Assist as needed in the review and approval of credit applications and assist with new customer set-up. Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing issues and disputes. Prepare and maintain accurate records and documentation related to accounts receivable transactions. Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures, including account reconciliations and reporting. Provide support to the accounting department as needed, including participating in audits and special projects.

Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a professional, customer-focused approach. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment. Solid analytical, problem-solving, and basic financial/math skills. Experience in accounts receivable, collections, or customer service preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with Oracle a plus. Adaptable and tech-savvy, with the ability to learn new systems quickly. Proven ability to meet deadlines and perform effectively under pressure.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Accounts Receivable Specialist or similar role. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
Physical Requirements:
