Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented part-time bookkeeper to join our office team focusing on data entry, organizing records, and helping to manage daily financial operations in comprehensive support of our members, committees, volunteers, staff, Management Committee and Board of Trustees. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting systems, excellent organizational skills, and experience working with QuickBooks online. This position offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where attention to detail, integrity, and confidentiality are highly valued.
Responsibilities:
Daily Transaction Management:
Record daily receipts, sales, purchases, and expenses accurately into the accounting system. Create, issue, and track customer invoices to maintain healthy cash flow. Monitor vendor bills, code expenses, and schedule timely payments.Account Reconciliation and Maintenance:
Assist with monthly bank and credit card statement reconciliation against internal ledgers to catch and fix errors. Maintain a clean general ledger and organized digital or paper records. Investigate billing or transaction mismatches quickly.Food & Beverage Sales Cash Management:
Support our Lodge and Clubhouse with daily cash flow, sales reporting verification in QuickBooks.Required Skills & Qualifications:
High School diploma with relevant experience or a certificate/degree in accounting.Software Proficiency:
QuickBooks online, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Word Attention toDetail:
Strong math and analytical skills to spot data discrepancies.Knowledge of basics:
Familiarity with double-entry bookkeeping, debits, credits, journal entries and basic tax rules.Expected hours:
