Job Description
Bookkeeper, Payroll & Office Manager Rust Belt Offroad LLC - Canfield, OhioFull-Time | Monday-Friday | In-Person Rust Belt Offroad LLC is seeking an experienced, dependable Bookkeeper, Payroll and Office Manager to oversee the day-to-day accounting and administrative functions of our growing manufacturing and automotive business. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple companies, bank accounts, vendors, employees and deadlines. This position requires strong bookkeeping experience, discretion with confidential information and the ability to independently identify and resolve discrepancies. Primary Responsibilities Accounting and Bookkeeping Create customer invoices and manage accounts receivable. Enter and pay vendor invoices, credit cards and other company obligations. Monitor checking accounts and credit card balances. Match receipts and supporting documentation to credit card and banking transactions. Maintain accurate vendor, customer and employee records. Reconcile bank and credit card accounts. Investigate and correct discrepancies involving accounts, invoices, payments and employee information. Maintain organized electronic and physical accounting files. Track expenses and properly assign costs to the appropriate company, customer or job. Assist with month-end and year-end accounting procedures. Financial Reporting and Compliance Prepare monthly profit-and-loss statements, balance sheets and other management reports. Complete monthly Ohio sales-tax reporting and payments. Manage Bureau of Workers' Compensation reporting and payments. Maintain business and commercial vehicle insurance records. Coordinate health insurance and supplemental insurance enrollments, changes and payments. Provide requested records and reports to the company's CPA, insurance providers and other professional advisors. Payroll and Employee Administration Review employee time records and prepare biweekly payroll. Submit payroll information to the payroll provider and make corrections when necessary. Maintain employee pay rates, deductions, vacation balances and payroll records. Process new-hire information and employee status changes. Prepare and distribute payroll reports, retirement reports and related documentation. Track employee 401(k) and Roth contributions and coordinate payments with the plan provider. Maintain accurate and confidential personnel files. Office and Executive Support Help maintain an organized and efficient office. Manage confidential business and executive records. Assist company ownership with financial recordkeeping, bill payments and document organization when requested. Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, employees and outside service providers. Qualifications At least 10 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred . Strong experience with QuickBooks Online . Payroll-processing experience required. Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations and financial reporting. Knowledge of Ohio sales tax, payroll compliance and workers' compensation reporting preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook and general office software. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage deadlines and work independently. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to handle sensitive financial and employee information with complete confidentiality. Experience in manufacturing, automotive, construction or job-costing environments is a plus.
