The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting and maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards such as GAAP. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and systems, including QuickBooks, and other financial tools. The Bookkeeper will support both corporate and non-profit accounting functions, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization through precise data entry, reporting, and financial analysis. Duties Assist and Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including journal entries, debits & credits, and general ledger maintenance Reconcile bank statements and perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data Process payroll, employee commissions and handle accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements, adhering to accounting standards Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, and other financial systems for data entry and reporting Maintain organized spreadsheets for budgeting, financial analysis, and audit purposes Assist with tax preparation activities and ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations Perform 10 key typing tasks for data entry accuracy and efficiency Support technical accounting functions including budget management and financial concept application Conduct general ledger reconciliation to verify account balances are accurate and complete Collaborate with external auditors during audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations Qualifications Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role with a solid understanding of accounting principles such as GAAP and double-entry bookkeeping Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks (Desktop & Online), and other financial systems Strong knowledge of payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliation, and journal entries Familiarity with corporate accounting practices as well as non-profit accounting standards is preferred Ability to interpret financial concepts and produce accurate financial reports with attention to detail Experience with general ledger reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and technical accounting tasks Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong analytical skills combined with effective communication skills for report writing and documentation purposes Knowledge of tax regulations related to bookkeeping activities is advantageous This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to our organization's financial integrity while working within a professional team dedicated to excellence in finance management
Pay:
