Job Description
Little Hocking Water Association is accepting applications for the position of Financial Clerk . This is a full-time position responsible for providing financial, administrative, and customer service support to ensure the efficient operation of the Association. Essential Duties Process customer payments and maintain accurate account records. Prepare bank deposits and reconcile accounts. Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. Process payroll and maintain employee records. Must be able to process monthly, quarterly and yearly payroll, State and Federal taxes Maintain financial records and prepare reports. Answer customer inquiries in person and by telephone. Assist with monthly billing and collections. Maintain confidential financial and customer information. Provide general administrative support and perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager Prepare books for yearly audit, gather all information and transactions for compilation and audit Update website and post alerts for water leaks, boil advisories etc. when needed Serve as the primary liaison with the associations IT provider to resolve computer, software, printer, network and IPAD issues • Attend finance-related meetings as requested by the Board. Maintain cordial relationship with Little Hocking Water staff, Rural Development Administration, EPA, Accounting firm, Attorneys and customers Shall attend monthly board meetings and keep minutes. Minutes shall be typed and available for the trustees within 3 days Oversee day-to-day operations of the front office staff Provide recommendations for employee evaluations to the General Manager Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in accounting, business, or a related field preferred. Minimum of two years of bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, or financial office experience preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word. Experience with accounting and utility billing software is preferred. Strong mathematical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality and provide excellent customer service.
