We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day financial transactions of our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations. ________________________________________
Key Responsibilities:
Record day-to-day financial transactions in the accounting system (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, etc.) Maintain general ledger by posting entries and reconciling accounts Process accounts payable and receivable Prepare and issue invoices, purchase orders, and payments Perform bank and credit card reconciliations Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting Prepare financial reports such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other custom reports Assist with month-end and year-end close processes Ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal financial policies Work with external accountants or auditors as needed ________________________________________
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles and accounting standards Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar) Strong Excel skills and comfort with spreadsheets and data entry High degree of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to maintain confidentiality Good organizational and time management skills Strong communication and interpersonal abilities ________________________________________
Education & Experience:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred) 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (required) Certification (e.g., CPB - Certified Public Bookkeeper) is a plus
