Job Description

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join a sales organization in North Canton, Ohio. This contract opportunity with permanent potential is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and confident handling high-volume invoice activity while maintaining accuracy and strong vendor communication. In this role, you will help keep accounts payable operations running smoothly by supporting invoice review, payment processing, and close-related tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Review incoming vendor invoices, confirm supporting approvals, and ensure expense coding is accurate before processing
  • Reconcile purchase orders, receiving records, and billing documents to validate charges and resolve mismatches
  • Enter payable transactions into the accounting system promptly to support accurate financial reporting and on-time payments
  • Coordinate daily workload based on deadlines tied to month-end and year-end close activities
  • Maintain adherence to company procedures and accounting guidelines throughout the accounts payable process
  • Partner with vendors and internal departments to investigate billing issues, answer payment questions, and update supplier information as needed
  • Prepare documentation and support requests related to audits and other financial reviews
  • Contribute to process improvements and provide additional support across accounts payable and related accounts receivable tasks as business needs evolve
