Construction & Development Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting team. This position will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounts payable process, ensuring invoices are accurately processed, coded, approved, and paid in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction and development environment. Key Responsibilities Process and code invoices, bills, and vendor payments accurately. Review invoices for proper approvals and supporting documentation. Enter invoices and payment information into the accounting system. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies. Maintain accurate vendor records and respond to vendor inquiries. Assist with monthly closing and accounting reconciliations. Work closely with project managers, vendors, and the accounting team to ensure timely payment of construction-related expenses. Maintain organized AP files and documentation. Assist with other accounting duties and special projects as needed. Qualifications 2+ years of accounts payable or related accounting experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and work independently. Construction, real estate, or development industry experience is a plus.
