Job Overview We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the company's outgoing payments, ensuring accuracy in processing invoices, and maintaining smooth financial operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with financial software, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a positive and welcoming attitude toward customers, vendors and fellow employees. Duties Process and verify vendor invoices, expense reports, and payment requests accurately and efficiently. Maintain up-to-date records of all payments, invoices, and vendor information using accounting software Match invoices to purchase orders and work with purchasing and receiving departments to resolve discrepancies promptly Address payment inquiries from vendors and internal stakeholders Support other accounting functions including accounts receivable, general ledger reconciliation, and journal entries as needed. Work with other office staff by answering phones and assisting walk in customers as needed Assist with weighing and grading incoming and outgoing loads of grain and fertilizer as needed - training will be provided, experience is not necessary Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Proficiency in accounting software and Excel Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with vendors, customers and other employees Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to prioritize tasks Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour

High school or equivalent (Preferred)
