Joyfulness — We believe work can be meaningful, positive, and fulfilling. Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting functions for multiple clients across a variety of industries. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working independently while collaborating with our team. This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys building relationships with clients, solving problems, and taking ownership of their work. Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records for multiple clients Record and reconcile bank, credit card, and loan transactions Prepare monthly financial statements and reports Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable Process payroll and payroll tax filings Perform month-end and year-end close procedures Reconcile balance sheet accounts Assist clients with accounting software and bookkeeping questions Work closely with firm leadership and other team members to ensure quality and timeliness Qualifications 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience required Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting Experience with QuickBooks Online required Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Excellent communication and client service skills Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a CPA firm or multiple-client environment Payroll experience Experience with nonprofit or construction/contractor accounting is a plus Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Paid time off and holidays Retirement plan Opportunities for growth and development Supportive and team-oriented culture Schedule Full-time Monday-Friday We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys serving clients, and wants to be part of a team that values both excellence and people.
