Job Description

Description Position Summary Coordinates payment posting and deposits, including related functions. Position Accountabilities Knowledge of Policies Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Reports policy violations. Job Specific Duties Posting Paper Remits efficiently with low error rates. Posting Electronic Remit efficiently with low error rates. Daily Deposits completed in a timely and effective manner. Communicates with Accounting Department effectively on Recap Sheet. Researches posting errors and resolves issues timely and ensures corrections made that will resolve future issues. Reviews credit balances daily and creates refunds for payment discrepancies. Maintains and balances petty cash fund. Communicates with insurance companies regarding questions, errors, or locating payments. Check and balance the bank deposit, insurance checks, and G4 to ensure that all remits and payments are accounted for. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. Productivity Completes assigned tasks in timely manner. Is accurate and conscientious. Focuses on work and manages time wisely. Asks for and offers help when needed. Attendance Comes to work on time for scheduled shifts. Follows time-off procedures and notifies supervisor as needed of emergent situations. Is accurate with time clock and notifies supervisor in timely manner of any needed time edits. Professional Development Attends meetings as required. Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, inservice meetings, and workshops. Seeks ways to improve self and department. Communication Responds to e-mails and phone calls within 1 business day. Is polite and professional. Speaks kindly of coworkers and customers. Informs team members and supervisors of information as needed. Notes account and schedule as needed. Appearance Abides by dress code. Wears TCH ID badge daily as outlined in policy. Presents professional demeanor. HIPAA Understands HIPAA rules. Maintains confidentiality in written and oral communication. Is mindful of volume and location of conversations. Obtains consent forms per protocol as needed. Offers patients privacy information. re
