Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. This individual will primarily be responsible for accounts payable and transactional accounting, as well as managing the administrative needs of a small but dynamic office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts payable, excellent communication and organizational skills, and be familiar with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Key Responsibilities
- Receive, verify, code, and enter vendor invoices into the accounting system.
- Work closely with other departments to resolve complex order and invoice discrepancies.
- Respond to vendor and supplier correspondence and inquiries via email.
- Maintain up-to-date vendor files, digital imaging repositories, and general ledger documentation.
- Assist with month-end reporting duties and tasks.
- Serve as a welcoming first point of contact for visitors and callers to the office.
- Receive and sort incoming mail or packages.
- Order office supplies, manage vendor relationships, and coordinate building maintenance or equipment repairs.
- Assist different departments as needed and support team projects. Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years in an accounts payable or other related accounting role.
- Associate's degree in accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of accounting principles, laws, and regulations.
- Proficiency in software systems including QuickBooks, bill.com, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Self-starter with initiative and strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, as well as the flexibility to change course quickly. Benefits
