Position Summary Dragonberry Produce is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our growing accounting team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations by managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, maintaining financial records, and providing administrative support to the accounting department. The Accounting Clerk will work closely with the Senior Accountant, Operations Team, Sales Team, and vendors to ensure invoices, payments, and accounting records are processed accurately and in a timely manner. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly. Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts Payable Process vendor invoices and ensure proper coding to general ledger accounts Verify invoice accuracy and obtain approvals as required Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor inquiries Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments Maintain organized vendor files and records Accounts Receivable Enter and maintain customer invoices and payment records Apply customer payments accurately and timely Monitor outstanding balances and assist with collections efforts Research and resolve customer billing discrepancies Maintain customer account records and supporting documentation Accounting & Administrative Support Scan, file, and organize accounting documents both electronically and physically Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities Maintain accurate and complete financial records Prepare reports and spreadsheets as requested by management Support audits by gathering and organizing requested documentation Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned QualificationsRequired High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 1 year of administrative, bookkeeping, accounting, or office experience Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word Preferred Associate degree or coursework in Accounting, Business, or a related field Experience with accounting software or ERP systems Previous experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable Experience working in a distribution, wholesale, food, or agricultural environment Desired Skills & Attributes Self-motivated and dependable Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Professional and customer-service oriented Adaptable in a dynamic and fast-changing environment Committed to maintaining confidentiality of financial information
