All job offers are contingent upon Human Resources final approval This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Student Account Services position for the Division of Finance and Admin at Oregon State University (OSU). Student will provide great customer service to students and non students in person at the window and on the phone. Student employees assist in drafting email responses, uploading documents into OnBase, processing payments and assisting the Student Account Services staff. Typically up to 20 hours per week, M-F, between the hours of 830am

  • 430pm.

Extended periods sitting/standing at a workstation in Student Accounts, which is a limited access area in the Business Affairs department. Position Duties In person Customer service to both students and non-students at the student account window' Drafting Email responses to student account services email inquiries Inbound Phone call customer service for both students and non-students Uploading documents into OnBase Returned mail processing External Scholarship processing Taking credit card payments over the phone for non-registered students and non-students Transferable Skill Development OSU is committed to ensuring students are prepared for success after graduation through intentional skill development as student employees.   • International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered "full-time" by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services ( USCIS ).

A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services ( OIS ), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center. Required Six months experience in an office setting or customer service role Able to answer a multi-line phone, and direct incoming calls to appropriate department This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a Criminal History Check and be determined to be position qualified as per OSU Standard 576-055-0000 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in Youth Programs may have additional Criminal History Checks every 2 years. Preferred Proficient with Microsoft Office applications. Ability to complete accurate data entry. Ability to multi-task and also concentrate on detailed projects with multiple interruptions. Ability to deliver quality customer service.

Working Conditions/Schedule:
  • Typically up to 24 hours per week, M-F, between the hours of 830am
