Description We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to join a contract assignment supporting a fast-paced accounting team in Salem, Oregon. This position focuses on bringing overdue financial records up to date across a high volume of client accounts, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, consistency, and dependable attendance. The role is fully onsite and is expected to continue through the end of the year, with the possibility of concluding earlier if project goals are completed ahead of schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Review and reconcile numerous client accounts in QuickBooks to resolve outstanding discrepancies and restore accurate financial records.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including invoice processing, payment tracking, and account balancing.
• Use Excel to organize accounting data, analyze variances, and support daily financial reporting tasks.
• Maintain up-to-date records across QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Enterprise environments as needed.
• Investigate missing or inconsistent transactions and take corrective action to ensure clean and reliable account histories.
• Prioritize a large workload effectively while meeting deadlines in a high-volume project setting.
• Work onsite each day and contribute to a steady, dependable workflow through strong punctuality and attendance. Requirements
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks in an accounting or bookkeeping environment.
• Proven ability to complete account reconciliations accurately and efficiently.
• Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting processes.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills for tracking, organizing, and reviewing financial information.
• Experience using QuickBooks Online and/or QuickBooks Enterprise is preferred.
• Ability to manage high-volume transactional work with close attention to detail.
• Reliable attendance and the ability to work a permanent onsite schedule in Salem, Oregon.
