The Assistant Bookkeeper performs a variety of important financial, customer service, and administrative duties, with a primary focus on accounts payable and payroll. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, helping people, solving problems, and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. In this role, you will work with a high level of independence while supporting several key functions. You will serve as a primary point of contact for payroll questions, maintain accurate financial and sales records, process invoices and payments, and provide backup support for the Office Manager.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
The ideal candidate is someone who is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently. Confidentiality and discretion are important, as this position regularly involves sensitive financial and personnel-related information. We are looking for someone with: A high school diploma or GED and at least three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial practices Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry skills The ability to research and resolve account discrepancies Excellent communication and customer service skills The ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and frequent interruptions Good judgment and the ability to make independent decisions within established policies and procedures This role will start at part-time hours to onboard and create a workflow alongside the bookkeeper/office manager. There is potential for this role to grow to full time hours for someone willing to take on additional office administration and explore the potential to advance.

$20-22 hourly

$20.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 32.0 per week
