Oregon Urology Institute is one of the largest, most advanced urological centers in the Northwest. Oregon Urology Institute provides patients with some of the region's finest medical experts covering every major urological specialty using proven and leading-edge technologies such as robotic surgery, immunotherapy, and radiation therapy.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk/Assistant to support daily accounting operations. This role is responsible for assisting with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll backup support, document management, and general clerical duties. The ideal candidate is dependable, accurate, and able to handle confidential information with integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist Accounts Payable (A/P), including reviewing invoices and check requests; sorting and matching invoices and check requests; preparing invoices for payment; and processing check requests. Provide backup support for payroll processing. Scan, organize, and maintain electronic records of paid invoices, payroll, benefits, retirement documentation, and other financial records. Assist with data entry and maintenance of accounting records and spreadsheets. Reconcile vendor and insurance carrier statements and assist with resolving discrepancies. Support month-end and year-end closing activities. Maintain organized filing systems (both digital and physical) Respond to internal and external inquiries in a timely and professional manner Perform general administrative and clerical duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in accounting or related field preferred 1-5 years of accounting or administrative experience preferred Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices Knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures Knowledge of payroll processing (including time and attendance review, payroll audits, tax deductions, garnishments, child support orders, and reporting) Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office Excel Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Sage 100
