09/17/2026 Job Description Job Description Bookkeeper Join a Small, Established Company Where Accuracy Matters Solaire Energy is a growing company based in Canton, Pennsylvania that helps homeowners reduce energy costs, improve comfort, and make their homes safer. We are looking for an experienced, dependable bookkeeper to join our office team in Canton, PA. This is a part-time position for someone who takes pride in doing accurate work, stays organized, communicates well, and is comfortable handling a variety of bookkeeping responsibilities. We are a small company, so we're looking for someone who enjoys being part of a team and is willing to learn how our business operates. This will be an interesting and challanging job for the right person. What You'll Do Your responsibilities will include a variety of bookkeeping and general office duties, including: Maintain accurate bookkeeping and financial records Enter and review financial transactions Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable Process payroll and maintain payroll records Work with tax-related documents Reconcile accounts and identify discrepancies Maintain organized financial and supporting documentation Answer phones and communicate professionally with customers, vendors, employees, and the public Assist management with financial and administrative information as needed Help maintain accurate records for jobs, customers, and company operations What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is dependable, organized, and takes the time to make sure the details are right.

The ideal candidate has:

Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping experience, with payroll experience preferred Experience working with tax and financial documents Strong attention to detail and accuracy Good organizational and time-management skills Good written and verbal communication skills Professional and courteous phone skills Ability to document work clearly and accurately Ability to recognize discrepancies and follow through until they are resolved Self-motivated and reliable Ability to work independently while also being part of a small team Comfortable working with computers, spreadsheets and bookkeeping software Willingness to learn our procedures and accept direction Ability to maintain confidentiality when working with employee and company financial information Professional references required. What We Offer Part-time position - approximately 20-25 hours per week - during a 4-day work week Training on our company procedures and systems Supportive, small-company work environment Opportunity to learn more about the operations of an established energy-efficiency home-improvement and HVAC company Pay is Commensurate with bookkeeping experience and qualifications.
