Type:
full-time Heron Talent Solutions is partnering with an established, privately owned healthcare services company to hire an experienced Full-Cycle Bookkeeper . This is a hands-on position for someone who is comfortable taking ownership of the company's day-to-day accounting activities. Working closely with company ownership and an external accounting firm, the Full-Cycle Bookkeeper will manage accounts receivable, customer billing, cash activity, reconciliations and other essential accounting responsibilities. This position is best suited for someone who has worked in a small or midsized business and understands what it means to take genuine ownership of the books. You should be comfortable moving between detailed transactional work, customer communication, reconciliations and broader accounting support. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting activity using QuickBooks Desktop Prepare cash deposits and maintain daily cash-position records Verify and post revenue transactions Monitor accounts receivable and review aging reports Prepare and issue customer invoices Research and resolve billing and customer-account discrepancies Follow up on delinquent accounts and resolve collection issues Reconcile cash, bank and balance-sheet accounts Maintain accurate customer and accounts receivable information Maintain payroll reimbursement and employee time records Organize accounting documentation and support record keeping requirements Work directly with company ownership and the external accounting firm Protect confidential company, employee and customer information Assist with month-end activity and accounting-related special projects Identify discrepancies, communicate concerns and follow issues through resolution
Qualifications:
At least five years of bookkeeping, accounting or closely related experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is preferred but not required Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Desktop Strong accounts receivable, billing and reconciliation experience Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Ability to manage competing priorities and meet recurring deadlines Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Clear written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently while collaborating with ownership, coworkers and external accounting partners Sound judgment when handling confidential financial and employee information
