Our manufacturing client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join their accounting team. This position is responsible for processing high-volume invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, reconciling accounts, and ensuring the timely and accurate payment of vendors. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a manufacturing environment and be comfortable handling purchase orders, inventory-related invoices, and month-end close support. Key Responsibilities Process and code a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and efficiently
Perform three-way matching of purchase orders, receiving documents, and invoices
Review invoices for approvals and compliance with company policies
Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies
Work closely with Purchasing, Inventory, and Operations teams to resolve PO and receiving issues
Maintain accurate vendor records and payment documentation
Assist with month-end closing activities, including AP accruals and account reconciliations
Monitor aging reports and ensure timely payment of outstanding invoices
Support annual audits by providing requested documentation
Identify opportunities to improve AP processes and efficiencies Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
2+ years of Accounts Payable experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment
Experience with purchase orders and three-way matching
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities Preferred Qualifications Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or Epicor
Understanding of inventory and manufacturing accounting processes
Experience processing high-volume invoices
Knowledge of sales and use tax requirements
