Job Description
West Whiteland Township, Chester County, PA West Whiteland Township is seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused professional to join its Finance Department as an Accounts Receivable Associate . This position is responsible for accounts receivable, utility billing, payment processing, account reconciliations, customer service, and related financial functions that support Township operations. About West Whiteland Township Located in the heart of Chester County, approximately 30 miles west of Philadelphia, West Whiteland Township serves nearly 20,000 residents and is recognized for outstanding financial management, including Moody's highest Aaa bond rating. The Township is committed to providing high-quality public services through professional, fiscally responsible local government. Position Responsibilities Administer sewer utility and residential trash billing. Process accounts receivable transactions and customer payments. Maintain customer accounts and resolve billing inquiries. Prepare bank deposits, reconciliations, and financial reports. Process certifications for property transfers. Assist with audit preparation and financial reporting. Provide exceptional customer service to residents, businesses, and Township staff. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Three years of municipal experience in accounts receivable, bookkeeping, accounting, utility billing, or finance preferred. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, Microsoft Excel, and financial software. Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills. Valid Pennsylvania driver's license or ability to obtain one. Why Join Us?
