Job Description

Accounting Clerk & Cash Specialist (SWAN) Ministry Support

• Diakon SWAN Harrisburg , PA Accounting/Finance Full Time ,

Days Hours/Pay Period:

75 Req # 10385 Diakon is one of the premier employers in Pennsylvania and Maryland. We are a non-profit organization which includes Diakon Child, Family, and Community Ministries and Diakon Affordable Housing.

General Responsibilities:

Assists with payment of all vendors, contractors, and employee expense reimbursement, verifying, coding, and entering invoices to general ledger. Assists with check distribution. Assists with correspondence and resolution of issues with vendors, contractors, and employee expense reimbursement. Maintains daily cash worksheet. Monitors cash requirements for accounts payable. Prepares requests for advance of cash and repayment of advance monies as needed.

Education/Training:

High school degree or Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant certification is a plus.

Experience:

A minimum of two (2) years of experience including journal entries, account analysis and reconciliation. Detail oriented, self-starter who can work independently. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel experience preferred.

ADA:

Ability to bend, stoop, sit, reach and lift items weighing up to 25 lbs.; visual and auditory skills.
