Payroll & Accounting Specialist Huntingdon, PA 1 DAYS AGO 22804401 Summary Huntingdon, PA In-Person Competitive Salary 1 Years Experience High school graduate or equivalency certificate (GED) No Commission 40.00 hours per week / Day Shift / Full-Time Description Payroll & Accounting Specialist Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll & Accounting Specialist to join our growing team. This position is responsible for providing payroll, bookkeeping, and tax-related support services for multiple clients. The ideal candidate will be organized, client-focused, and capable of managing multiple deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Key Responsibilities Process payroll for multiple clients on weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly schedules. Prepare and file quarterly and annual payroll tax returns with federal, state, and local agencies. Prepare and file sales tax returns for clients. Complete year-end payroll reporting, including Forms W-2 and 1099 preparation. Perform bookkeeping services, including bank and credit card reconciliations. Enter and maintain accounting data in bookkeeping and payroll software. Prepare payroll and financial reports for clients as needed. Communicate with clients to obtain information necessary for payroll, bookkeeping, and tax filings. Respond to notices and correspondence from taxing authorities and government agencies. Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure timely and accurate completion of client services. Maintain confidentiality of client and employee information. Assist with additional projects and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Required Skills and Experience Minimum of one year of payroll, bookkeeping, or accounting experience. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Commitment to providing exceptional client service. Proficiency with accounting and payroll software, as well as Microsoft Office products. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a public accounting, bookkeeping, or multi-client service environment. Knowledge of payroll tax reporting and sales tax compliance. Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. Familiarity with QuickBooks and payroll processing software. Education High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree or coursework in accounting, bookkeeping, or business administration preferred.
