Accounts Payable Clerk| Temporary position $20.50/hr. | On-Site King of Prussia, PA Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Accounts Payable Clerk to support the day-to-day operations of a busy business office. This position is responsible for processing accounts payable transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, communicating with vendors, and ensuring invoices are processed accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and enjoys working in a collaborative office environment.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch) A day in the life of an Accounts Payable Clerk Process accounts payable invoices from receipt through payment. Match invoices to purchase orders and verify invoice accuracy. Review invoices for pricing, account coding, approvals, and outstanding credits. Enter invoices into the financial system and process payments. Prepare accounts payable check runs and coordinate electronic payments. Maintain organized accounts payable files and documentation. Monitor invoice batches and track invoices through the approval process. Process employee reimbursement requests. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies. Follow up on outstanding purchase orders and communicate with department supervisors. Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors regarding invoice and payment inquiries. Prepare and monitor encumbrance figures through year-end. Assist with gathering documentation for audits and compliance reviews. Provide backup support to other business office staff as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements for the Accounts Payable Clerk position Two (2) years of accounts payable or re lated accounting experience required Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications. Experience using accounting or financial software is preferred. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced office environment.
