Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support day-to-day financial operations in Lititz, Pennsylvania. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who is organized, dependable, and comfortable handling a high volume of accounting transactions with accuracy. The role will focus on maintaining financial records, processing invoices, and supporting both payables and receivables activities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Process vendor invoices, verify supporting documentation, and enter payment details accurately into accounting records.
- Assist with accounts payable activities by preparing payments, monitoring due dates, and resolving routine billing discrepancies.
- Support accounts receivable functions by recording incoming payments, tracking outstanding balances, and following up on open items as needed.
- Maintain accurate financial data through timely data entry and regular review of transaction details for completeness.
- Use QuickBooks to update account information, post transactions, and help keep financial records current and organized.
- Reconcile accounting information against source documents and identify inconsistencies for correction.
- Organize invoice files and related records to ensure documentation is easy to retrieve for audits and internal review.

- Experience supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable processes in an accounting or bookkeeping environment.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks and confidence working within computerized accounting systems.
- Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience processing invoices and maintaining organized financial documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a structured office setting.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills for handling routine accounting correspondence.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and standard financial recordkeeping practices.
