As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will be responsible for the accounting operations of multiple Faulkner dealerships! The Accounts Receivable Clerk processes payments to customers' accounts and takes appropriate action on overdue payments. You will also maintain records and deposits. The typical schedule for an Accounts Receivable Clerk is Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm. Become part of the Faulkner Family and join our team! Job Responsibilities
- Receive all payments and receipts on a daily basis from the service and parts department.
- Record every transaction and reconcile all receipts.
- Process credit card charges daily and prepare cash deposits.
- Prepare monthly statements and invoices. Review monthly accounts receivable statements and attach delinquent bills.
- Work with customers to reconcile any accounts and work with collection agencies, if necessary, to obtain overdue payments.
- Approve credit applications by performing background checks and updating customer account information. Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.
- 3+ years of related accounts receivable experience preferred. Minimum of 1 year experience in automotive industry or in retail accounting office.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet all deadlines.
- Must have the ability to work well with all levels of staff and management.
- Effective organization and prioritization skills.
- Excellent computer, verbal and written communication skills are a must.
- Experience with MS Excel, Word and Outlook.
