Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. In this vital role, you will manage the company's financial records, ensure accuracy in accounting processes, and support financial compliance initiatives. Duties Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using industry-standard financial software and spreadsheets Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently, ensuring timely payments and collections Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts regularly to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly Assist with tax accounting preparations, including VAT, sales tax, and other regulatory filings Support financial model development to aid in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and industry-specific financial regulations Conduct periodic audits and internal reviews to verify data accuracy and uphold financial regulatory compliance Collaborate with auditors during external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations Communicate effectively with clients regarding billing inquiries, payment status, or financial documentation requests Contribute to mergers & acquisitions activities by assisting in due diligence processes and financial analysis Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for creating complex spreadsheets and analysis models Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial compliance standards Experience with Quickbooks or any other SaaS platform used for bookkeeping and accounting tasks Ability to develop detailed financial models that support business decisions and strategic growth Excellent analysis skills to interpret financial data accurately and identify trends or anomalies Knowledge of industry-specific financial regulations and auditing procedures Project management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently while meeting deadlines Effective client communication skills for clear reporting and professional interactions Industry knowledge of mergers & acquisitions processes and related financial considerations
