In this role, you will collaborate with team members across the organization to support operational needs. Responsibilities also include general clerical support and various projects as they arise. The Accounting Assistant must maintain a high level of accuracy, be exceptionally organized, possess strong problem-solving skills, work well with fellow employees, vendors, and customers. You will work alongside our comptroller to provide accounting support to our parent company as needed, including daily payment collections and the preparation of financial statements. In summary, this position is ideal for someone who can collaborate with team members across BOTH organizations, takes pride in maintaining an organized financial system, values accuracy and accountability, and is interested in building a long-term role within a growing organization. Examples of duties that may be assigned: Prepare and manage invoices for programs and services Manage accounts payable, including vendor payments and checks disbursement Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing Maintain vendor records, including obtaining W-9s from new vendors and updating records with tax status and tax ID Perform timely bank and credit card reconciliations Track and categorize expenses within the accounting system Timely prepare and file 1099 tax reporting Manage and maintain organized and accurate financial records Work with the comptroller and outside CPA to file accurate and timely tax returns Work with the comptroller to identify and implement continuous improvement plans for accounting systems Qualifications and Experience Certification or degree in Accounting or Finance but not required

Minimum Experience:

1 years of full-cycle accounting Proficiency in using QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop Strong analytical skills with attention to detail Well organized and able to multi-task Proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with all levels in the organization Proactive, self-starter with good judgment and ability to work unsupervised

Pay:

$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
