Hybrid - in office Tuesday to Thursday Job Description We are seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our team within Corporate Function. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in account reconciliations, general ledger and subledger balancing, and transaction processing and a proven ability to identify and resolve exceptions, interpret data, and complete month-end reconciliations on time .

Responsibilities:

• Process financial transactions and maintain accounts and ledgers.
• Handle accounts payable, journal vouchers, vendor invoices, expense reimbursements, statements, billings, and related documents.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all transactions.
• Research discrepancies and perform corrections or adjustments as needed.
• Respond to and resolve inquiries from business partners via email.
• Post, check, and verify data; prepare routine financial reports and analyses.
• Perform manual matching with attention to detail; target clearing approximately 2,000 items per 8-hour shift.
• Complete monthly reconciliations within the open monthly window.
• Research, escalate, and clear all aging items at 5 days.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Hands-on general ledger and subledger reconciliation experience.
• Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and interpret data.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficient computer navigation skills using Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Experience with Enterprise Recon and Recon Tool.

Preferred Skills:

• Financial services or corporate accounting environment experience.
• Experience producing routine financial reports and variance analyses.

Team & Work Environment Corporate Function department with 16 team members based at US Bank Plaza, Minneapolis. No face-to-face customer interaction and no phone calling. Communication with business partners occurs via email. Staff pay for parking; location is on a bus line. Interview Process One interview with the Manager and Team Lead conducted via Microsoft Teams. Camera required.
