  • The Accounting Assistant will provide vital support to our accounting department.
This role is responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining financial records. The ideal candidate will be proactive, eager to learn, and comfortable handling a variety of accounting-related duties. Opportunity for growth, additional responsibilities, and additional hours.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Data entry
  • Process invoices, handle accounts payable and receivable, and track expenses.
  • Reconcile bank statements and assist with general ledger postings.
  • Support monthly close processes and assist with the preparation of financial statements.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and perform account reconciliations.
  • Organize and maintain financial documents in a secure and easily accessible manner.
  • Assist with audits, budget preparation, and other accounting projects as needed. Assist in the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial records and reports.
  • Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure effective and efficient financial operations.
  • Qualifications:
  • Associate degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Bachelor's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in an accounting role, with familiarity in various accounting functions.
  • Strong proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
