Type:

full-time A growing company in the northwest suburbs is looking for an Accounting & HR Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time position supporting the Controller with a mix of accounting and light HR support. The role will start fully on-site during training, then offer the flexibility to work from home one day per week.

Responsibilities:

Manage the accounts payable process, including invoice coding, approvals and payments Support accounts receivable, including invoicing, payment application and collections Maintain vendor records and assist with 1099 preparation Assist the Controller with month-end close, reporting and other accounting projects Provide limited administrative HR support, including onboarding paperwork, PTO tracking and payroll data entry Help transition manual processes to more streamlined digital workflows

Qualifications:

Bachelor or Associates Degree is a plus Minimum of 2 years of accounts payable and accounts receivable experience HR administrative experience a plus Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills Detail-oriented and comfortable working in a small, collaborative environment Ability to learn new accounting, payroll and HR systems
