We are seeking an experienced Accounting Operations Specialist to manage our Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions while ensuring the integrity of our financial records. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and takes pride in getting things right the first time. You'll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting compliance. Responsibilities Manage the complete Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable process. Review, code, and accurately record vendor invoices and customer payments. Ensure transactions are properly categorized in accordance with GAAP and company accounting policies. Reconcile vendor statements, customer accounts, bank accounts, and credit card statements. Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, billing issues, and account variances. Process customer invoices, monitor outstanding receivables, and professionally follow up on past-due accounts. Review purchase orders, invoices, and supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance. Verify proper sales tax treatment and maintain tax exemption documentation. Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and journal entries. Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation for audits and reporting. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls. Collaborate with management and other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of accounting experience with strong AP and AR responsibilities. Solid understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles. Experience with general ledger reconciliations , account analysis, and financial recordkeeping. Strong understanding of account coding, accruals, and expense classification. Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks experience is a must). Knowledge of sales tax, tax exemption documentation, and accounting compliance. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
