Job Description

Overview Diversified Marine is a Portland shipyard and marine services company. We repair and maintain working vessels on the Columbia River. This role runs payroll and corporate credit cards for four affiliated companies. Separate books, separate employee populations, separate rules. You will also handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and HR administration across the group. What you will do Payroll for four companies. Process semi-monthly and weekly payrolls across four entities with different employee populations and pay rules. Turn field and vessel logs into payable time and resolve exceptions — overlapping shifts, missing punches, shifts crossing the workday boundary — before the cycle is committed.
Administer Oregon payroll taxes:
Paid Leave Oregon, statewide transit, TriMet, Metro Supportive Housing Services, and Multnomah County Preschool for All. Handle off-cycle and final checks, 401(k) contribution files, quarterly and annual filings, W-2s, and workers' compensation payroll audits. Corporate credit cards for four companies. Administer the card program across all four entities, including issuance, limits, and cardholder onboarding. Collect receipts and code transactions to the right entity, job, and cost type. Reconcile monthly statements for each entity and resolve disputed charges. Accounts payable and receivable. Code vendor invoices, three-way match against purchase orders and receipts, route approvals, and run check, ACH, and positive pay cycles. Maintain the vendor master, W-9s, and insurance certificates, and prepare annual 1099s. Invoice from completed work orders, apply cash receipts, and work the aging. HR administration. Run onboarding paperwork — I-9, W-4, direct deposit, and system setup. Administer benefit enrollments and changes, and reconcile carrier invoices to the payroll deduction register. Maintain personnel files, track PTO and Oregon sick time, and handle offboarding and COBRA notices.
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
