Key Responsibilities for the
Accounting Specialist:
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and on time.
- Perform monthly bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support preparation of financial reports and audit documentation.
- Assist with payroll processing and payroll compliance activities.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications for the
Accounting Specialist:
- 2-5 years of payroll processing experience.
- Knowledge of payroll regulations, tax withholdings, and compliance requirements.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with payroll software and accounting systems, preferably QuickBooks and NetSuite.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Foundational understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles preferred.
