Our teams are the heart of what we do, and we're looking for an Accounts Payable Associate to help support accurate, efficient financial operations across a growing residential portfolio. Your Opportunity as an Accounts Payable Associate As the Accounts Payable Associate, you'll assist with the end-to-end accounts payable function across all APT Residential properties. You'll help ensure accurate, timely processing of vendor invoices and PO reconciliations while maintaining compliance with internal controls and financial policies. You'll collaborate with property teams, regional leadership, vendors, and accounting to support efficient payment processes, accurate vendor records, month-end close, and strong financial controls. What You'll Do Assist with the full-cycle accounts payable process across APT Residential properties. Review and process vendor invoices, ensuring proper coding, approvals, and compliance with contracts and budgets. Monitor and reconcile purchase orders, vendor statements, and accounts to resolve discrepancies. Collaborate with property teams, regional leadership, and accounting to ensure timely invoice submission and approvals. Maintain accurate vendor records and support onboarding of new vendors, including W-9 collection and COI validation via NetVendor. Assist in month-end close by preparing AP accruals and reconciling the AP sub-ledger to the general ledger. Implement best practices and system improvements to drive efficiency, accuracy, and automation in AP workflows. Coordinate with the Property Accountant and Controller to support financial audits and internal control reviews, and enforce AP policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate standards. What You'll Bring (Required Experience & Skills) Three or more years of accounts payable experience, preferably in a multifamily or real estate industry environment. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial controls related to payables. Experience with AP software and property management systems (e.g., Entrata, Yardi, or similar). High attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other standard office tools. Strong communication skills for collaborating with property staff, vendors, and finance team members, including experience managing vendor relationships and resolving payment inquiries professionally.
What We Offer Competitive pay:
The annual salary range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000, with an additional 15% target bonus. Final compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.
