We're hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist in San Francisco for an initial 3-month contract with the potential to extend. You'll support day-to-day AP operations, including invoice processing, vendor inquiries, account reconciliation, and weekly check runs. This is a hybrid position, typically working 2-3 days per week in the office and the remaining days remotely. Why You Should Apply Earn up to $34/hr, based on experience Monday-Friday daytime schedule Hybrid flexibility with 2-3 days per week in the office 3-month contract with potential for extension Work with an established accounting and finance team Opportunity to handle a variety of AP responsibilities What You'll Do Manage the AP inbox and respond to vendor inquiries Review, organize, and distribute invoices for processing Research invoice and payment discrepancies Assist with vendor account reconciliations Support weekly check runs and payment processing Work with other AP team members to research and reconcile transactions Maintain accurate invoice and payment documentation Help identify opportunities to improve AP processes Assist with additional accounting and administrative projects as needed What You'll Need At least 3 years of Accounts Payable experience Associate degree in Accounting or Business Administration, accounting certificate, or an additional year of directly related experience Experience processing vendor invoices and payments Strong data-entry skills with excellent accuracy Ability to research and resolve discrepancies Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently while collaborating with the accounting team Flexibility for occasional travel within the Bay Area If you have solid Accounts Payable experience and want a hybrid role with a consistent Monday-Friday schedule, we'd like to hear from you.
